Flint Ridge Baptist Church is a local body of believers in Heath Springs, South Carolina. We are unique individuals from different backgrounds and walks of life, joyfully united in Christ. Our focus is to seek the heart of God above all else, while we strive to shine the light of Christ into a dark world.
Flint Ridge welcomes people from all backgrounds. Our one desire is to know the heart of God. While you won’t find a perfect congregation here, you will find a community that earnestly seeks God’s heart. We look forward to getting to know you and your family.
We Believe:
We believe the Bible is the authoritative, inerrant, infallible, and inspired Word of God. It has been given to us by God and contains everything needed for Christian living. We believe there is only one true and living God, who is worthy of man’s complete devotion. As the Creator and Sustainer of all things, God has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the eternal God created a perfect world and placed mankind in it. However, this perfect world was corrupted when man rebelled against God. From that point forward, all of mankind inherits a sinful nature, which severs fellowship with God. We believe that everyone stands in need of redemption to restore fellowship with God and to avoid eternal death in a literal place called Hell. We also believe in a literal place called Heaven, where only those who place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ will dwell with God for all eternity.
There is no salvation found in any other name except the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is based on grace alone through faith alone. No amount of human work or merit can earn a right standing with God.
We believe in the Body of Christ, also referred to as the Church. The Church’s head is the Lord Jesus Christ, who has commissioned us to disciple the nations. The Church observes two ordinances: the Lord’s Supper and Baptism. Both ordinances are exclusively for believers and are symbolic in nature.
Finally, we believe in the ultimate end of all things as described in Scripture. The Lord will return in glory, the dead in Christ will rise, and those who remain will meet them in the air to be with the Lord forever. The righteous will receive their just reward and dwell with God in the new heaven and the new earth. The unrighteous will receive their reward and be separated from God in eternal torment.
About the Pastor:
My name is Zach Byrd, and I am honored to serve as the Pastor of Flint Ridge Baptist Church. I gave my life to the Lord in January of 2018, and soon after, I answered the call to ministry. Since 2020, I have had the privilege of serving in full-time vocational ministry, and it has been an incredible journey. I’ve seen firsthand the transforming power of God’s grace and how He has changed the lives of so many. I am truly humbled by all that He has done and where He has led me today.
In October of 2023, I married Julia, my wonderful wife. Together, we are passionate about using our gifts to serve the Lord and build His kingdom. As I look ahead, I am excited about the future and eager to see how God will continue to use Flint Ridge to impact the world for Christ.
